Tulips, Daffodils and more

Judith has gardened at Dursley for over 50 years, and in that time has added THOUSANDS of bulbs! Particularly tulips and daffodils, but also pockets of tiny treasures - grape hyacinths, freesias, sparaxias etc. Something new every week.  

Make the most of the spring sunshine and come out to visit at any time. The garden is open seven days a week, with no appointment required. Bring a picnic, or if you would like Devonshire Tea, then give Judith a call prior to your visit (06 3724 804), or try your luck on the day! $7 pp.

Early autumn at Dursley

Come and visit a beautiful country garden

 Dursley is a charmingly unpretentious country garden. Set around a 100 year old homestead, Judith has created a haven of colour, seasonal change, structure and character. 

The drive out to Dursley is 20 minutes through Wairarapa farmland, to the gorgeous Bideford Valley. It makes a great day trip to bring out of town visitors to, or just enjoy the outing yourself.

At the moment, the garden is a glorious riot of colour, with the Portulaca the star of the show around the perennial gardens. Take a look at the photos below! Also many perennials and roses are in their prime at the moment. Come on out and see for yourself!

Garden Open

 Dursley Gardens are definitely open this spring. No bookings required. Adults $5, children free. 

This photo was taken last night - so Spanish Bluebells are spectacular at the moment. Loads of large flowering trees and shrubs. Looking gorgeous! 

TULIPS TULIPS TULIPS - DURSLEY GARDEN, WAIRARAPA

The tulips are STUNNING at Dursley over September and October.  Bold colour groups of these beauties, set amongst a gorgeous century old garden, with enormous old trees and massive flowering shrubs. Thousands of tulips, plus a myriad of other classic bulbs and perennials in succession. Sparaxias, in particular, look fabulous right now. Spring in all it's glory!
