November is one of the best times to visit Dursley. Fragrance abounds, with large shrubs in full bloom, and new season's roses and Rhododendron in full swing. Come on out to see Judith. Open 7 days a week during daylight hours. 1899 Te Ore Ore Bideford Rd, Masterton.

TULIPS!!

The tulips look stunning at Dursley right now. Judith has planted thousands over the years, and this is their time to shine. The display is at it's finest this week, so don't delay getting out there. Call ahead if you would like Devonshire Teas. Perfect weather for it. Tel 06 3724 804.

Rhododendrons are also in full swing, along with numerous other shrubs and trees. This really is a beautiful time of year at Dursley.

Magnolia & Tulip Season at Dursley

As well as the enormous old Magnolia and Michelia trees, Judith has many new varieties planted in the last ten years. These are just  a couple of them photographed in flower right now. Others are yet to come. They look stunning throughout the garden.

Then there are the tulips. 100's get planted every single year - so they are now quite a sight to behold through September and October. Any time is a good time to visit Dursley, but RIGHT NOW is just delightful. Pick a warm spring day and pop on out.

A Few Oddities!

Autumn colours and final flushes of many perennials are happening at Dursley at the moment. The gardens look gorgeous. Chrysanthemum and Golden rod are making quite a show in one of the perennial beds by the house. The golden rod is huge.

Then there are these rather odd looking plants - quite deformed looking seed pods on the magnolia,  and the red drooping flowers of the Amaranth - 'Love Lies Bleeding'. Just thought you might be as interested as I was!

Late Spring at Dursley

The late November garden is bursting at the seams. Roses, roses, roses, plus a myriad of gorgeous perennials just hitting full stride. The fragrance of Philadelphus is everywhere, with enormous shrubs dotted throughout the garden. Come on out for a visit. Plenty of parking, and plenty of garden seats! Plenty to look at......
