Roses Over Summer

Judith has hundreds and hundreds of roses. Seriously. And over December and January they are in full swing. If you can find time to come and visit Dursley over the Christmas break, you will be rewarded with them in every shape and colour that roses come in. The only day the garden is closed to the public is Christmas Day. 1899 Te Ore Ore Bideford Road, Masterton. $5 pp. Judith would love to see you.

Blossom

The flowering trees are full of blossom and buzzing bees at the moment. The various Prunus have been spectacular, with more just starting to flower. There are literally thousands of tulips at Dursley - with the yellow just starting. They look stunning amongst the purple dwarf irises. Come on out and have a look for yourself.

1899 Te Ore Ore Bideford Rd, Masterton. 15 minute trip through the beautiful Bideford Valley.

Autumn

Many trees have started to turn their autumn colours at Dursley this month. But there are still the majority yet to start, so the colourful season will last for weeks and weeks yet. The roses are putting on their last hoorah, as are the cyclamen. Lovely time of year to visit.

Carpets of Cyclamen at Dursley

Dursley is well known for the masses and masses of pink and white cyclamen that literally carpet the ground under the century old oak and fir trees. The ground conditions are perfect for them to have naturalised over the last 100 years. Come out and have a look for yourself.
Contact Judith if you would also like her to make you Devonshire Tea. She whips scones up while you are wandering the garden. 06 3724 804.

Lilies, Roses and more

January at Dursley features Lilies and Roses. They are found throughout the garden. Many of the lilies Judith has bred herself, so you will see all sorts of variations in the most beautiful layers of colour. Come for a visit any time - plenty of shade and plenty of seating. 1899 Te Ore Ore Bideford Road, Masterton.
