Dursley Garden is a charming large country garden, at Bideford,18km north-east of Masterton. Originally designed and planted by Alfred Buxton (it was then known as 'Te Rangi Pai') in the early 1900's, Dursley has been owned by the Callaghan family since 1972, and Judith Callaghan has created a tranquil oasis of year-round interest amongst many historic trees.
Visitors are welcomed to Dursley through-out the year, either in groups or individually, always with a personal guided tour if Judith knows you are coming. Dursley is ideal as a group destination, particularly for morning or afternoon teas (Devonshire Teas are Judith's speciality), with plenty of seating options around the garden, or on the lovely wide verandahs.
Visitors charge: Adults $5 each, children under 12 free. Bookings only required for groups, or if you fancy Devonshire Tea.The gardens are open 364 days a year (closed Christmas), and are worth return visits throughout the year to experience the seasonal highlights.
Contact Judith Callaghan on 06 3724 804 if you require more information.
