JUDITH'S HUGE VEGETABLE GARDEN

The vegetable garden at Dursley is enormous! Judith puts a lot of time into growing edibles of every description. And ALWAYS surplus to send friends and family home with! These photos show the mid spring garden, just kicking into gear. Seeds sown, labelled and weeded. All set ready for action. The cages are to protect from birds, but particularly Californian Quail! They see this as their personal pantry, I am sure.

TREE PEONY

Tree Peony are all go at the moment, and then the perennial Peony will follow shortly. Lots and lots of them at Dursley. The excellent drainage suits them perfectly. Just gorgeous!

MID-SPRING - FLOWERING SHRUBS AND TREES

The shrubs and trees are looking spectacular at the moment. Even this horrendous wind has not made too much impact. Dursley Garden is pretty sheltered, with the 100+ year old trees and shrubs creating a warm and safe microclimate. Great time to come on out and experience the seasonal glory!

Perennials are starting to flower, and there are large swathes of some special plants worth looking out for - Trilliums and Lily of the Valley, in particular.
