There is never a time at Dursley when the garden is completely dormant. Judith has planted the garden in layers so that when one thing finishes, another is just starting. Visiting at different times of the year enables the seasonal changes to be appreciated. The colours in winter are more subtle than the vibrancy of high summer for example.
